Boosted with updated Flywire cables that are more contoured and angled with your foot, wrapping the medial arch for added support, the tongue of the Flyknit Lunar2 + is also now integrated into the upper, helping to prevent tongue-slippage. An extra eyelet has also been incorporated for those runners who prefer a tighter, more locked-down fi t.
The Flyknit Lunar2 + has also been updated with an innovative pressure data-informed outsole. Using a special hot-knifing pattern, pressure data-informed fl ex grooves are incorporated into the outsole, which enhances the natural motion aspects of the shoe, and better mimics the foot’s natural movements.
Cushioning in the Flyknit Lunar2+ continues to be provided by dynamic Lunarlon foam, which gives it a soft yet responsive ride and a slightly different look and feel to its previous version.
The Flyknit Lunar2 + weighs in at 240g for a men’s size 9.
Nike Flyknit technology was inspired by feedback from runners craving a shoe with the snug (and virtually unnoticed) fit of a sock. Nike embarked on a four-year mission with teams of programmers, engineers and designers to create the technology needed to make the knit upper with static properties for structure and durability. Then the precise placement of support, flexibility and breathability—all in one layer—was refined. The result is a featherweight, form-fitting and virtually seamless upper.
Features Include:
- Knit tongue integrated into the upper for enhanced comfort
- Pull tab on the heel for easy on and off
- Fitsole sockliner conforms to the shape of your foot for support
- Diamond-shaped cuts throughout the outsole for enhanced flexibility and cushioning
- Environmentally preferred rubber lugs on the outsole follow a forefoot pressure map for an efficient stride
- Reflective elements for enhanced visibility in low light
